The Italian model is so beautiful that many are sure that she is too good to be real

23:15, March 27

The Italian model is so beautiful that many are convinced that she is too good to be real. Hyper-realistic artificial intelligence fakes have become so common that attractive people are now being mistaken for AI.

Italian model Ines Trocchia said that she is often accused of being a bot. “It’s very annoying that people think I’m an artificial intelligence model,” Ines, 29, told Jam Press. “To me this is complete madness.”

She says she's spent years in front of the camera perfecting her craft and enjoys showing off the fruits of her labor. Unfortunately, with the proliferation of AI-generated supermodels online, many people are wondering if she's real or just another over-the-top bot.

“It’s shocking to me that some people doubt whether I’m real,” Trocchia lamented. "I don't think my profile looks like a bot's." “I noticed that bot accounts even steal my body and put artificial faces on it,” she complained. “One of my videos was directly stolen by a bot account and it received more views than my own profile.”

She is not alone in this problem. "I've spoken to some of my colleagues and friends in the industry and they have the same problem," the beauty added.

Trocchia argues that by blurring the line between the real and virtual worlds, AI is promoting already sky-high beauty standards, which she believes is bad for both the modeling industry and society as a whole. "Some of the AI accounts I've seen are of completely impossible standards," she explained. “Models tend to have very childish faces, breasts and facial features that are out of proportion to their bodies.” She noted that she considers it “madness” to strive for “incredible levels of perfection.”

Unfortunately, cases like Trocchia's may become commonplace as ubiquitous technology becomes increasingly adept at creating digital representations.

And this trend could have serious consequences in the real world. In May 2023, a photo of a fake Pentagon explosion created by artificial intelligence circulated on social media, causing widespread confusion among users and a brief sell-off in the US stock market.
