A trailer for the James Bond film starring Henry Cavill and Margot Robbie received two million views on YouTube, but it turned out to be fake.
The fan-made trailer for the movie, uploaded to YouTube on April 13 and featuring Cavill and Robbie, received more than two million views on the video streaming platform. However, despite the big celebrity names and the iconic spy franchise attached to the video, the trailer is completely fake.
The video comes from the YouTube channel KH Studio, which creates "concept trailers" as a means of creating "anticipation for future releases, working in tandem with current movie trailers." The channel, which has been active for more than a year, has created dozens of fake movie trailers in recent months, including videos for Spider-Man starring Andrew Garfield, and a fake teaser for Back to the Future, among others.
In fact, neither Cavill, 40, nor Robbie, 33, are known to be involved with the next installment in the long-running James Bond series.
