American-Armenian actor Joe Manganiello had recently visited Armenia. That was the actor's first ever visit to his great-grandmother's historical homeland, who had escaped from the Armenian Genocide organized by the Ottoman Empire in 1915. The actor has been in Tsitsernakaberd and paid a tribute to the victims of the Armenian Genocide, he planted a tree and got to know more about the culture and the history of the land inherited to him from his great-grandmother.

The actor is a COAF Board member (Children of Armenia Fund). The details of his visit were published on a video posted on COAF's Instagram.
