Kourtney Kardashian share fears about vaginal prolapse after childbirth

15:23, June 27

Kourtney Kardashian made a strange confession in the latest episode of the reality show The Kardashians, which was shot after the birth of her fourth child, son Rocky.

In the episode, Kris Jenner visits her daughter as she prepares looks for the Emmy ceremony, where her husband, Travis Barker, is scheduled to perform. Kourtney worries that due to her breastfeeding schedule, she won't be able to watch her husband's performance. “I've loved being at home with my baby for the last two months and I don't want to leave. I'm starting to get a little worried about going back out into the world."

Kourtney then reveals that she is afraid her vagina will “fall out” after her fourth child. According to her, doctors recommended that she avoid vigorous physical activity for about six months. “They keep the vagina intact.”

A producer asks in a confessional what it means to “keep your vagina intact.” Kourtney explains that prolapse can occur. “The vagina may fall out.”

It is about prolapse of the vaginal walls, in which “the bladder descends from its normal position in the pelvis and presses on the vaginal wall.” This occurs when the pelvic floor becomes weak, or if too much pressure is placed on the pelvic floor. This can happen over time, during vaginal birth, or with chronic constipation, severe coughing, or heavy lifting.
