Meghan Markle has "showed off" in front of Victoria Beckham because she believed her place in the British royal family placed her socially above the former Spice Girl, writes Tom Bower in his soon-to-be-published book, The House of Beckham.

"In the celebrity world, Meghan's rankings depended on wealth and fame," Bauer wrote. “Meghan deluded herself into believing that her status in the royal family placed her above Victoria in the social hierarchy. She was annoyed to discover that the Beckhams were significantly wealthier than she was."

Meghan "ordered" Prince Harry to confront David Beckham after she concluded that information about her had been leaked to the press through them.
