The first trailer of the horror movie Nosferatu by Robert Eggers has been released. It is only the second remake of the famous German horror film, the last of which was released in 1979.
Nosferatu, the original silent movie "symphony of horror" was first shown in 1922 as an adaptation of Bram Stoker's novel Dracula. Stoker's heirs had sued the team that worked on this movie, and the court decided to destroy all copies. That film was later considered one of the most popular horror movies of the 20th century.
Robert Eggers started working on the film adaptation about ten years ago. Johnny Depp's daughter, Lily Rose-Depp, plays Ellen Hutter in this adaptation, Bill Skarsgård plays Count Orlok, and Nicholas Hoult plays Thomas Hutter. Thomas visits Count Orlok, a vampire, to sell him his house.
But after Orlok notices a portrait of Ellen, he falls in love with this woman and contemplates sucking her blood. The teaser begins with a scene where Depp is screaming and then transitions to footage of people struggling with mysterious deaths that they attribute to a ship's rats causing the plague. The first screening of this film will be held in movie theaters on December 25.
