The Moana 2 teaser has already set a record and became the most viewed trailer in the history of Disney Animations and Pixar. Dwayne Johnson and Auli'i Cravalho will reprise their roles in the sequel, due out in November.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the trailer was viewed by more than 178 million people in the first 24 hours of its release, making it the most viewed trailer in the studio's history. It broke the previous record set by Inside Out (157 million views) and Frozen (116 million).
Disney is also set to release a remake of Moana, which Johnson announced last spring. Also, he will reportedly play the role of Maui in the live-action movie, which is scheduled for release in July 2026.
Moana 2 will hit movie theaters later this year—on November 27.
