Naomi Campbell talks about being bullied at school, making her feel insecure

12:18, July 2

Naomi Campbell is known all over the world for her incredible beauty. But the supermodel was ridiculed at school by other children. Campbell admitted that despite her worldwide fame due to her statuesque figure and striking appearance, she did not always feel confident.

Naomi revealed on the Cambon podcast that kids made fun of her height and slim figure, comparing her to Popeye character Olive Oyl. “I felt uneasy because I was very thin and quite tall for my age. And they called me Olive Oyl. I felt awkward."

The queen of the catwalk explained that it was through dancing that she accepted her body. Naomi spoke also about the discrimination she faced and proudly stated that she has never been shy about standing up for herself. “I have always spoken out when faced with injustice.”

Previously, Campbell had said that of all her incredible achievements, motherhood is what she is most proud of in this life.
