Demi Moore has taken part in a bold photoshoot for Interview magazine's September issue. The 61-year-old Hollywood star has donned a sexy look in a series of photos by Canadian photographer Petra Collins to promote her new movie, The Substance.

The film's heroine injects herself with an experimental drug to look younger. She transforms into a young beauty, played by Margaret Qualley. But then strange things start to happen. The movie will be out on September 20.

Moore said she was "moved" when she read the script for the film. She called it a "unique way of exploring this issue of aging, social conditioning, what I also see as the pressure on women to be idealized by men."

“At the core of it all is what we do to ourselves, and I loved that it was illustrated in such a physical way—showing this violence, what we do with our thoughts, how we attack ourselves and distort things,” Moore added.
