Emma Avanesyan will represent Armenia at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant, which will be held in Mexico this November.
The 32-year-old Armenian model, who lives in Moscow, became the third runner-up at the Miss Universe Armenia 2024 pageant. She replaced the winner, Irina Zakharova, who will not be able to represent the country due to citizenship issues.
According to the Miss Universe Organization (MUO), the former winner did not fulfill the requirements stipulated in the licensing agreements. MUO added that the titleholder must have a valid passport of the country she represents.

The new Miss Universe Armenia, Emma Avanesyan is the founder of a modeling agency. She is a mother of one child, and in addition to modeling, she is a singer and a modeling teacher.
“I am proud to have had the opportunity to represent Armenia at the Miss Universe pageant,” Emma wrote on her Instagram. “Since a young age, I have followed the principle of life: ‘No excuses. Just go.’ This phrase has become a guiding star for me, helping me overcome obstacles and reach new heights. Thanks to it, I was able to go from a simple girl to the founder of a successful modeling agency, a singer and a modeling teacher. I have many awards to my credit, which are the result of hard work and passion for what I do.
