The year 2024 was full of various events that shaped the mood of Yerevan. Festivals, premieres, and interesting people were not missed by the sharp photo camera of NEWS.am STYLE.

Let’s recall the most memorable events that we recorded in the year.

Good Day premiere

On February 29, the premiere of Grigor Gasparyan's and Arman Sargsyan's film Good Day was held at Moscow Cinema. The main character of the film is the famous taxi driver Hendo from Mher Mkhitaryan's sketches, who was also portrayed by the actor in the comedy. Before the premiere of the film, a red carpet ceremony was held at the yard of Moscow Cinema.

Anahit award ceremony

On April 16, the 4th Anahit award ceremony of the Armenian National Film Academy was held at Dvin Music Hall, during which the best of the previous two years were awarded.

Yerevan Wine Days

The Yerevan Wine Days festival is not only an opportunity to taste Armenian wines, but also to express yourself. This year it was held in June.

Ara Malikian's solo concert in Yerevan

Lebanese Armenian violinist Ara Malikian once again spread his incredible energy in Yerevan. On June 3, the second concert of our world-famous compatriot living in Spain and his group took place at Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex.

Golden Apricot

On July 7, the most awaited film festival, the Golden Apricot International Film Festival, started for the 21st time in Yerevan. This year, the opening of this festival took place with a non-traditional "red carpet," as guests walked over the carpets made by local carpet masters, and based on the designs of artist David Kochunts, which make up the Point of Reference collection. The main guest of the festival was the famous Hollywood actor Kevin Spacey, known from a number of movies, including the cult series House of Cards. Canadian Armenian filmmaker Atom Egoyan was also present at the opening ceremony, and he, like Spacey, was awarded the Parajanov Hall main prize.

Halloween in Yerevan

Shrek, vampires, witches, and all possible superheroes were in downtown Yerevan on Halloween. And some were even in outfits that alluded to the Sean Diddy Combs scandal.

ReAnimania 

Autumn suddenly started in Yerevan. The cold fresh air suddenly gave way to a suffocating mixture of women's perfume. About fifty people were gathered in the narrow foyer of the Cinema House, all greeting each other and happily discussing the latest news. This is how the annual international festival of Armenian animated films, ReAnimania, started in the Armenian capital. 

New Year's Cinema premiere 

Smile, emotions, and tears. Such emotions were left in the eyes and hearts of the audience by director Yelena Arshakyan's New Year's Cinema, which premiered on November 20 at Moscow Cinema.
