One of the producers of the Grammy Awards has weighed into the controversy surrounding Kanye West and Bianca Censori's naked outfit stunt on Sunday, Daily Mail writes.
The rapper, 47, and the Australian architect, 30, caused a stir on the red carpet when Bianca removed her coat to reveal a completely see-through mesh dress worn without underwear.
The incident caused worldwide backlash, with many people calling for Kanye - who reportedly lost a $20million deal following the stunt - and his wife to be banned from future events and even face legal consequences for public indecency.
However, Grammys executive producer Raj Kapoor has now said it's not clear that the couple broke any rules with their X-rated stunt, claiming the dress code is 'up for interpretation'.
Speaking to PEOPLE, he explained that the Grammys' official dress code is 'artistic black-tie', but then added: 'But in the music industry, I guess that's up for interpretation.'
Raj further clarified: 'Obviously there is a dress code for anybody actually performing on the show that we have to adhere to standards and practices.
'But as far as people attending and nominees attending, that would be something the [Recording] Academy would have to answer.'
Deadline previously reported that the Grammys have to follow the CBS Program Practices which stated in an advisory that 'buttocks and female breasts' should be 'adequately covered' and sheer clothing that 'could possibly expose female breast nipples' must be avoided.
