Miami Beach’s upscale restaurant Papi Steak has caused a stir on social media by unveiling a cocktail priced at an astonishing $33,000. But there’s a twist: the drink isn’t served in a glass — it’s presented inside a legendary Hermès Birkin bag, which is included in the price.

Content creator Mister Lewis posted a video asking the waiter about the most expensive drink on the menu. The answer — a cocktail named “It’s Not a Bag, It’s a Cocktail” — quickly went viral. Its ingredients include Belvedere 10 Vodka, grapefruit oil-based syrup, Lillet Blanc, and a peach garnish accompanied by caviar. The cocktail alone, without the bag, costs a modest $150 — a stark contrast to the $33,000 Birkin version.

Online users were quick to remark that this might be “the easiest way to get a Birkin.” Hermès bags are cult objects, available only to a select group of loyal customers. Many spend thousands on other Hermès products just for the chance to purchase a Birkin at the boutique.

Skeptics, however, were quick to question the authenticity. Some pointed out that “the bag doesn’t even have the Hermès logo,” casting doubt on the video’s legitimacy.

Despite the skepticism, the concept went viral. Many saw ordering an extravagant drink just to get a luxury handbag not as foolish, but as a clever life hack. After all, on the resale market, Birkin bags start at around $28,000 and can easily surpass $100,000 depending on the model and materials used.
