Chopard has once again proven that haute horlogerie can be not only technical but also poetic. Their new limited-edition Imperiale Four Seasons watch masterfully combines the beauty of nature, exquisite jewelry craftsmanship, and complex mechanics, encapsulating the cycle of spring, summer, autumn, and winter in miniature, reports Robb Report.
A Living Landscape in Motion
The centerpiece of the design is a rotating disc that completes one full revolution every 365 days, mirroring the natural yearly cycle. Crafted from mother-of-pearl marquetry, the disc is linked to the watch hands and subtly shifts over time, creating a dynamic effect of changing landscapes as the seasons pass.
Floral Poetry and Jewelled Brilliance
At the top of the dial rests a lotus — the signature motif of the Imperiale collection. The flower is fashioned from intricate 18-carat white gold with petals combining satin and polished finishes, adding depth and texture.
The lower part of the dial is a true marquetry masterpiece: a gradient mother-of-pearl surface reflects the color changes of nature throughout the year.

The case, bezel, and crown are crafted from white gold and adorned with diamonds. The crown itself is stylized as a lotus, reinforcing the collection’s aesthetic.
The watch comes with four interchangeable alligator leather straps, each representing a season — from the freshness of spring to the austerity of winter.
Exceptional Mechanics
Inside the case beats the in-house L.U.C 96.31-L movement, composed of 227 components. This automatic caliber features Chopard’s patented Twin Technology, ensuring a power reserve of 65 hours.
Beauty, Ethics, and Innovation
The Imperiale Four Seasons is not merely a design fantasy. It showcases how brands traditionally focused on women’s timepieces now deliver watches that are as technically sophisticated as they are visually refined. Chanel, Hermès, Van Cleef & Arpels, and of course Chopard are all raising the bar in women’s watchmaking.

Moreover, Chopard emphasizes sustainability: the case is made from ethically sourced white gold, and the brand is committed to responsible mining and metal processing.
“We believe that a luxury brand must take responsibility,” said Chopard CEO Karl-Friedrich Scheufele in an interview with Robb Report.
Limited Edition
The Chopard Imperiale Four Seasons is produced in a limited run of just 25 pieces and will be available exclusively in Chopard boutiques. Pricing is available upon request.
