Vacheron Constantin has unveiled a new chapter in its sports-elegant line with the Overseas Self-Winding High Jewelry collection. These are the first fully gem-set models in the 35mm Overseas series, available in 18k white gold and 18k 5N pink gold. The collection blurs the lines between classic high jewelry and relaxed sporty elegance, resulting in a versatile design that transcends traditional categories.

The standout feature is the extraordinary gem-setting: a total of 1,430 diamonds weighing approximately 12.58 carats. Masterful techniques include invisible setting on the bezel, where 60 baguette-cut diamonds are slotted into a hidden gold framework, creating a “floating” effect. The dial and 18k gold bracelet use the snow-setting technique, with 314 and 884 brilliant-cut diamonds placed in varying sizes to almost entirely cover the gold base, mimicking sunlight sparkling on snow.

Technical precision matches the visual brilliance. Each watch houses the Manufacture caliber 1088/1, a self-winding movement with a 40-hour power reserve. The 144-component movement is visible through a sapphire caseback and features a 22k gold rotor engraved with the collection’s signature compass rose.

True to the Overseas spirit, the watches feature a self-interchangeable strap system. Each model comes with a diamond-set gold bracelet and two additional straps: a white rubber strap and a brightly colored alligator leather option in either brilliant blue or fuchsia, secured with a diamond-set pin buckle.
