Fast & Furious fans, get ready! Universal Pictures and Vin Diesel have officially confirmed the release date for the next installment of the iconic franchise, now titled Fast & Furious: Forever. The film is set to hit theaters on March 17, 2028.

Vin Diesel, the star and producer of the series, shared the news on Instagram, calling it the “beginning of the end” for the multi-billion-dollar saga that has set the standard for modern action films for over 20 years.

The story of Fast & Furious: Forever will continue directly from Fast X, which left the fates of Dominic Toretto and his crew hanging in the balance.

The title change from Fast X: Part II to Fast Forever hints at a final focus on the legacy of the franchise’s beloved characters, including Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, and Ludacris.

Production promises to maintain the series’ signature global scale, featuring jaw-dropping stunts and high-octane cars that have become a hallmark of the franchise. Vin Diesel also paid tribute to the late Paul Walker, emphasizing that the new film will continue to highlight the theme of “family,” which has been at the heart of the saga since 2001.
