YEREVAN. – The opening ceremony of long expected Yerevan Mall shopping center was held in Yerevan on Thursday.
The construction of a shopping center occupying 59,900 square meters was launched back in 2010.
“You can see a building that has a modern design. The brand and logos were designed so as to preserve associations with Yerevan colors,” chief architect Artak Knyazyan told reporters.
The center will house 120 stores and will provide around 2,000 jobs.
Such companies as F&F, Mac Cosmetics, 7 Camicie, R.Zengarini, Zippy, CLics Toys, Mini Raxevski, Polin City, Richi Art will be presented in Armenia for the first time. Besides, Yerevan Mall will host other stores and cafes famous worldwide.
The opening ceremony was attended by President Serzh Sargsyan who was accompanied by other high ranking officials.
Yerevan Mall will open for consumers at 6p.m. on Friday.
