A new chapter of Heated Rivalry is on the way—but not in the format fans might expect.
The story of Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov is heading off-Broadway this spring as Heated Rivalry: The Unauthorized Musical. The production will run for eight weeks starting May 26 at New York City’s 6th Floor Theater, offering a comedic, cheeky take on the hockey romance, according to a March 31 press release.
Starring Jimin Moon and Jay Armstrong Johnson, the musical promises a playful retelling filled with humor, original songs, and over-the-top moments.
Meanwhile, the original series is also moving forward. Creator Jacob Tierney confirmed filming for season two will begin in August, with a potential premiere targeted for spring 2027, though no official date has been set.
