Naomi Aldwin-Olsworth, known for the documentary series Bear Grylls: Wild Reckoning, has spoken candidly about her polyamorous lifestyle, explaining how she balances multiple romantic relationships while prioritizing her family.

“I’m a mother and a partner, but I always crave adventure in every part of my life,” Naomi admits. She lives with her long-term partner Chris and their seven-year-old son in a nontraditional setup: several consensual romantic relationships with both men and women.

“Chris and I decided I could date women—which also opened the door for relationships with men,” Naomi says. “Polyamory is incredibly exciting. Every new romance brings emotion, love, and passion.”

“I live by my own rules. I have multiple partners of both sexes, and everyone knows about each other. The best relationships break traditional rules. This works for me,” she adds.

Beyond her survival instructor role at the Bear Grylls Academy, Naomi’s personal life is equally full. “Yes, there’s jealousy and broken hearts,” she says. “But I won’t let that take away my love or my life. Never.”

The documentary shows the 30-year-old spending time with her new boyfriend Matt, who recently moved from California, before returning to Chris and their son. She also shares a polyamorous dynamic with a married couple, Conor and Molly, and maintains close friendships that include romantic and intimate elements.

Chris emphasizes the importance of trust: “It’s easy to talk about multiple partners and ‘great love,’ but in practice, it can be very complicated. Seeing Naomi happy with others makes me happy too. There’s no jealousy. Love is multifaceted.”

Naomi acknowledges her own limits: “If Chris fell in love with another woman, it would be hard for me. Yes, it’s hypocritical, but I’m extremely jealous.” She stresses that her son remains her top priority, carefully introducing him to new partners in ways that feel natural and safe.

For Naomi, polyamory is more than sex. “It’s fun and meaningful, but not just about that. I wanted the documentary to challenge the negative stereotypes around non-monogamy. I’m actually a very normal person—except for my slightly crazy career.”

She’s prepared for online backlash but stands by honesty and transparency. “The most important thing for me is openness. I have no secret affairs, I hide nothing, and I don’t cheat. It’s surprising how many people still think secrecy is somehow ‘better.’”
