Kim Kardashian recently appeared with a rare miniature Hermès bag worth $100,000.

For her appearance at the play The Fear of 13, Kardashian opted for a Dior look with Asian-inspired elements designed by John Galliano. However, the main focus of attention was neither the vintage outfit nor the theatre premiere itself. All eyes were drawn to what she was holding — the tiny Hermès Kellymorphose Sac Bijou Chaîne bag.

The accessory looks more like a sculpture or a piece of jewelry than a traditional handbag. Created by Hermès jewelry designer Pierre Hardy to mark the 20th anniversary of his work with the fashion house, the Kellymorphose collection reinterprets the iconic Kelly silhouette, transforming it into a high jewelry object. The Sac Bijou Chaîne version is crafted from sterling silver and reduced to a surreal miniature size of just about four inches.

Ironically, Kardashian — known for her love of bold, often oversized heels — was this time carrying an accessory smaller than her own shoes.

Made entirely from 925 sterling silver, the miniature bag was produced using the intricate Chaîne d’Ancre weaving technique, which gives the metal the visual softness of fabric. Despite its jewelry-like scale, designers reproduced all the classic Kelly details: the turn-lock closure, sanglons straps, side panels, and handle — all rendered in solid metal.

The piece measures approximately 4.3 by 2.8 by 1.4 inches and weighs around 440 grams. However, its practical function is nearly nonexistent: it can barely fit a lipstick, and even that is questionable. Its main value lies in status, rarity, and craftsmanship.

Originally, such models were priced between $45,000 and $60,000, but on the secondary market the price easily exceeds $100,000. According to Sotheby’s, a similar version was sold in Hong Kong in 2023 for approximately $115,600.

Collector interest is also driven by extreme scarcity — reportedly, only a few pieces are produced each year.
