Bella Hadid has sparked a fresh wave of concern over her health. The supermodel opened up about a severe flare-up of Lyme disease, a chronic condition she has been battling for over a decade.

The 29-year-old star, who was first diagnosed with the illness back in 2013, shared a candid update on her condition in a series of posts on her Instagram Stories.

Hadid posted a close-up selfie with tears streaming down her face, admitting that doctors' recommendations are no longer bringing her relief. "Can’t get past this flare-up… Slept for 11 hours. Again… I nap every single day. Doing everything requested by absolutely every doctor I’ve ever seen. And still, nothing helps. If you know, you know (IYKYK)," she wrote.

With a touch of bitter irony, the model added that amid her struggles, she has "self-diagnosed myself with 12 other things, so it’s all great."

Bella was quick to reassure fans that she is staying well-hydrated but added: "And no, I didn't go for a walk because I run out of breath just walking to the kitchen."

The star also got emotional while describing her current mental state: "I feel like I don't have a single working brain cell left, and the last two survivors are just fighting each other. So I'm sorry if I ever told you to journal on a bad day — I take it back and I apologize."

At the end of the post, the model noted that just managing to take a shower without passing out was a massive achievement for her. "So, again, IYKYK... Today that was a huge win for me, so maybe someone can send me a cookie or something."

In a previous story, Hadid shared a post highlighting how difficult and sometimes "scary" it can be to speak openly about the realities of chronic illness. She candidly admitted how hard it is to find the "strength to get through another day in a body and mind that are completely exhausted."

However, Bella emphasized that she "sees" and supports everyone fighting a similar battle, adding that there is always hope. Shortly after, she posted another selfie from her bed, captioning it: "Although a kids Barefoot Dreams poncho makes it all a little better."

Bella Hadid regularly keeps her followers updated on her journey with Lyme disease. The condition is close to home for the family, as her mother, 62-year-old Yolanda Hadid, and her brother, Anwar, also battle the same diagnosis.
