Will Ferrell has become the most unexpected star of the new Skims advertising campaign—or rather, his sports alter-ego has. The 58-year-old Emmy winner plays an aging professional golfer named Lonnie Hawkins in the upcoming Netflix series The Hawk. To promote the project, the actor willingly stripped down to the brand's iconic white briefs, staying completely in character.

A series of six photos of Hawkins in his underwear appeared on the official Skims Instagram account, captioned: "@LonnieTheHawk knows he's still got it." (By the way, the fictional golfer's account has already amassed over 70,000 followers).

In the photos, Ferrell's character poses in the brand's men's briefs, a ribbed tank top, high athletic socks, along with his signature "The Hawk" visor and a puka shell necklace.

Brand co-founder Kim Kardashian personally voiced the promotional video, which features Ferrell's character tearing up the golf course in nothing but his underwear. "His body says, 'It's time to retire.' His Skims say, 'One more round,'" Kardashian ironically says in the voiceover, adding that her underwear is "made for men who know they still got it."

Will Ferrell joins an already extensive list of global celebrities collaborating with Skims. At various times, Kim Kardashian's company has featured Nelly Furtado, Hailey Bieber, Kylie Jenner, Cardi B, and Charli XCX. And though the brand's menswear line is relatively new, it has already managed to feature stars like Usher and Post Malone.

The series The Hawk premieres on Netflix on July 16.
