Immortality-obsessed millionaire keeps his girlfriend's menstrual blood in the freezer

11:20, August 8

Immortality-obsessed millionaire Bryan Johnson has shocked social media once again. This time, his quest to cheat death and document every aspect of his daily life has reached a whole new level—literally frozen.

His girlfriend, 30-year-old Kate Tolo, is increasingly becoming part of this massive show. The couple’s latest "science project" is now being kept at an ultra-low temperature.

"Kate’s period blood is in my -80 °C freezer," Bryan Johnson wrote on X. "Around 10 mL."

A valuable resource in the freezer

According to the Blueprint co-founder, this "crimson keepsake" represents a valuable and underutilized resource. In particular, it provides a non-invasive look into the uterus without the need for a surgical biopsy. Testing can be repeated every single cycle, measuring the uterine environment directly rather than inferring it from a standard blood draw.

Johnson explained that the sample will be used to check for signs of tissue changes, microplastics, endocrine disruptors, and so-called "forever chemicals" (PFAS), which tend to accumulate in the body over time.

Millions of data points for women's health

The revelation about the frozen blood comes amid Kate Tolo's massive 100-day project, during which she is collecting 14 million data points on her menstrual cycle. Her daily routine is mapped out literally minute by minute: she spits into collection tubes, swabs her cheek, and uses a high-tech tampon for deep health tracking.

This $2.6 million study aims to address gaps in medical research regarding the female reproductive system. Tolo herself told journalists she is doing this so that women can be truly understood and seen in the modern world.

Johnson also openly documents his own medical struggles, including a recently diagnosed incurable chronic gastritis. "My sincere goal is to try and heal the sick. With AI and biotech, we no longer have to concede to disease," the venture capitalist stated, vowing to defeat his own ailment along with Kate's endometriosis, and then make these solutions available to others.

As a reminder, the couple has been dating for three years and officially went public with their relationship in December. According to Johnson, he likes that Kate shares his passion for scientific experiments.
