French businessman of Armenian descent Mikael Petrossian, who heads the legendary Petrossian caviar house, has been named among the 20 best-dressed Frenchmen by Vanity Fair France.
The magazine’s editors highlighted Petrossian’s ability to combine classic masculine elegance with more relaxed and unexpected elements. In a business setting, he favors impeccably tailored double-breasted suits with gold buttons, which have become one of his signature details. Away from formal occasions, however, his wardrobe easily incorporates vintage pieces, sporty accessories and elements of streetwear.

Even during business trips to sturgeon farms, Petrossian does not abandon his signature style, pairing practical workwear with his trademark elegance. It is precisely this ability to adapt his wardrobe to different settings without losing his individuality that caught the attention of the Vanity Fair editors.
His approach also reflects a broader shift in the definition of contemporary menswear: the traditional corporate dress code is gradually giving way to a more relaxed form of eclecticism, in which classic tailoring coexists effortlessly with streetwear, vintage and sportswear.

Petrossian’s distinctive style is also rooted in a family history deeply intertwined with French luxury culture. The Petrossian house was founded in Paris in 1920 by Armenian brothers Melkoum and Moughegh Petrossian. They helped establish caviar as an integral part of French gastronomic culture and transformed the family business into a globally recognized luxury brand.

More than a century later, that family tradition continues in the hands of a new generation. Mikael Petrossian represents Petrossian not only as the head of a legendary caviar house, but also as a prominent figure in French high society and fashion circles, bringing together his family heritage with a contemporary vision of luxury and personal style.
