’90s movie star Billy Baldwin has declared that he will never agree to work with Sharon Stone again. The 63-year-old actor appeared on the Lisa Guerrero Unleashed podcast, where he looked back on their work together on the 1993 erotic thriller Sliver.

According to Baldwin, the tension between him and the 68-year-old actress on set was so intense that it affected the entire production crew.

The actor said they got along fairly well during the first couple of weeks, but Stone suddenly stopped speaking to him.

“We got along pretty well for the first couple of weeks,” he recalled. “And then she just stopped saying ‘hello’ or ‘goodbye’ to me for the next three months.”

The atmosphere became so uncomfortable that Baldwin went to the producers with an ultimatum: he pleaded with them to spare him from having to kiss Stone during a bedroom scene. The actor admitted that he literally told them: “I can do the scene, but please, just spare me the kissing… I can’t kiss her.”

According to Baldwin, his request ultimately forced the filmmakers to alter the scene: his character, Zeke Hawkins, and Stone’s character, Carly Norris, have sex while pressed against a pillar.

In her 2021 memoir The Beauty of Living Twice, Sharon Stone previously claimed that the film’s late producer, Robert Evans, suggested that she sleep with Baldwin off camera to break the tension and improve their on-screen chemistry.

Baldwin, however, disputed that account, saying Evans made essentially the same suggestion to him.

“Robert Evans wasn’t talking about our acting in those terms. He would say, ‘I keep getting reports about this incredible tension. We all know what’s going on. All this pent-up sexual energy. Just do it and get it over with.’”

On the podcast, Baldwin also shared some spicy details about the rumors he heard behind the scenes. According to the actor, people working in hair and makeup told him that Stone had allegedly set up… an actual altar dedicated to him inside her trailer.

“I don’t know if it was voodoo… I don’t know if she was hoping for some good energy between us,” the actor joked.

He also claimed that mutual friend Janice Dickinson had passed along comments from Stone saying that she planned to “make him fall so deeply in love with her that his head would spin.”

An Attempt to Bury the Hatchet

Despite all their past grievances and Baldwin’s previous threats to “spill the dirt” on social media — which he made following Stone’s 2024 interview — the actor struck a far more conciliatory tone this time around.

He praised her powerful screen presence, comparing her charisma to her legendary scene in Basic Instinct, and said he would happily “bury the hatchet,” shake her hand or even give her a hug.
