Tom Cruise, 64, has gone viral after showing concern for a stranger he apparently believed was in distress. It turned out, however, that the woman was simply scrolling through her phone during a break from work.

Security camera footage, shared on TikTok by an employee named Clementine, shows the actor approaching a woman sitting in a corner with her phone, seemingly unaware of what was about to happen. Cruise gently touches her shoulder, as if asking whether everything is okay.

The woman looks up and, upon realizing that she is face-to-face with the Hollywood star, is left virtually speechless with surprise. After making sure she is okay, Cruise helps her to her feet. The two shake hands before waving goodbye to each other.

In the caption accompanying the video, the woman admitted that she was completely stunned at first and could barely manage to say the actor’s name. Later, when Cruise walked past again, she had recovered enough to ask him for a photo together.

It is unclear where exactly the woman works, although she is seen wearing a white shirt and an apron. Judging by the surroundings, the encounter appears to have taken place in a service corridor or backstage area.

The heartwarming moment occurred during Tom Cruise’s promotional tour for his new film Digger. Social media users praised the actor for his thoughtfulness and kindness after he stopped to check on someone he believed was upset.
