Amal Clooney knows how to turn a public appearance into a fashion moment, and her latest look was no exception.
On Friday evening, the human rights lawyer attended the fifth annual Albie Awards alongside her husband, George Clooney. The ceremony took place at London's Natural History Museum. The awards were established by the Clooney Foundation for Justice, founded by the couple.

For the glamorous occasion, Amal opted for a gold Gucci gown with an off-the-shoulder neckline. The classic, figure-hugging floor-length silhouette was elevated by striking details that gave the look a sense of movement. The shimmering gold sequins were eye-catching in their own right, but the gown's standout feature was its long fringe, which cascaded from the hips to the hem and swayed dramatically with every step.

Amal completed the look with long gold earrings, metallic heels and a small embellished clutch. She wore her chestnut hair in soft, loose waves. George Clooney, meanwhile, opted for timeless elegance in a black Gucci tuxedo paired with a white shirt and bow tie.

Her choice of fringe was particularly timely, as the decorative detail is once again capturing the attention of leading designers. At New York Fashion Week, fringe featured prominently in Spring/Summer 2027 collections by Kallmeyer, Simkhai, TWP and Monse. According to ELLE's roundup of the season's key trends, it appeared on a wide range of pieces, from knit dresses to tops and accessories.

The Albie Awards honour journalists, human rights defenders and organisations that have made significant contributions to the protection of human rights. This year's honourees included photojournalist Lynsey Addario, girls' rights advocate Vanessa Mwangala, and journalists Bolot Temirov and Makhabat Tazhibek kyzy. Fashion house Gucci was among the sponsors of the ceremony.
