Michael Douglas, 82, has shared a hilarious story about how his longtime friend, actor Danny DeVito, swallowed several marijuana joints when they were pulled over by police.

Douglas recounted the incident on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast. According to the actor, he and the 81-year-old DeVito were driving to a concert with marijuana in the car when officers stopped them for making an illegal left turn.

“I made a left turn, and suddenly, almost immediately, there was a police car right behind me. I saw the flashing red lights and thought, ‘Oh, shit,’” Douglas recalled.

After the situation was resolved, he returned to the car and discovered that DeVito had decided to get rid of the evidence in the most drastic way possible.

“I remember getting back in the car. Danny was with me, and we had, you know, a few joints. He was sitting in the back seat. I looked at him and asked, ‘Where’s the pot?’ And Danny smiled. His whole mouth was… green. He swallowed them all!” Douglas said.

With a smile, the actor described the episode as one of many wild stories from his longtime friendship with DeVito. “We had a great time,” he added.
