The NEWS.am STYLE took an interview from dentist Armen Nahapetyan on how better to protect teeth.

Anti-caries prescription is well aware to all since their school years that is to clean teeth every evening and morning. However, many people either do not follow this simple rule or do it wrongly.

“There are some rules for cleaning the teeth. Firstly, it is necessary to change the toothbrush each month, as the mouth contains the most bacteria compared to any other part of the body,” the expert said.

Secondly it is necessary to clean the teeth for 5 to 6 minutes and not to finish the cleaning in a minute. Long cleaning stimulates also the blood circulation.

Finally, the toothpaste may grant a fresh breathing or whitening effect if it contains soda but cleaning is due to the toothbrush only. The dentist advises rinsing the mouth with olive oil after the teeth cleaning.
