NEWS.am STYLE talked with a psychologist Laura Avetisyan on what the ideal period for dating leading to marriage is.

Avetisyan claims that marriage is a very important step in life and the couple should take it in full decisiveness and responsibility. On having met the only one, person still doubts not to make a fatal mistake. The ideal and optimistic period is to date six months before marriage.

As for the errors the majority of couples make are “falling in love” taking for “real love.” It mainly happens at the age of 18 and 19, so it is better not to marry too early, while dating for 6 months at least, the couple will be able to differentiate between the feelings.

Regarding the marriage in short period, it brings forth suspense on future partner. At the same time, it is not necessary to date for a long time, as it may kill the relationship.

For a conclusion, not to make a fatal error, the couple needs to date at least for six months and not to marry too early. The most important, however, is not the period but the feeling.
