Janet Jackson, 52, called police to do a welfare check on her 1-year-old, Eissa, this weekend while the child was with his father, according to TMZ.

The pop icon placed the call around 10 p.m. PST while Eissawas staying with his father, Janet‘s ex Wissam Al Mana, at a hotel in Malibu, Calif.

“Deputies were there [and] called to the scene. They decided the child was okay and they left. Janet grew concerned after their nanny became “terrified” by Wissan‘s behavior and “locked herself in a bathroom, so she could contact Janet.”
