One of the best contemporary designers, Demna Gvasalia, steps down from the Vetements brand, the creative director and co-founder of which he has been for the last five years, The Independent reported.
The designer's brother, Guram Gvasalia, remains the CEO of Vetements.
“What Demna has accomplished over the past few years represents a key chapter in the story of Vetements. We are very grateful to Demna for having contributed to the great momentum of the house,” his brother said. “Demna’s talent and vision of fashion have been fundamental in the continued success of Vetements.”
The fashion designer will remain the creative director of the Balenciaga. The new collection will be revealed in Paris on September 29.
