Kanye West with a choir of one hundred people performed the track ‘Jesus Walks’ and ‘Selah’ from his new album ‘Jesus Is King’.
TV host James Corden talked with the artist and discussed religion and many other topics with him. The musician said that converting to Christianity helped him not only become a different person, but also solve financial issues, Daily Mail reported.
“Last year I made a $115million and still ended up $35million in deb. This year I looked up and I just got $68million returned to me on on my tax,” he said. “And people say don't talk about these numbers. No, people need to hear someone - who has been put into debt by the system - talk about these kind of numbers now that they're serviced to Christ.”
The long-awaited album ‘Jesus Is King’ was released last Friday. It has nine tracks, including collaborative songs with Ty Dolla $ign and Ant Clemons. Before the release of the album, Kanye West arranged public auditions of the album in the format of church services in various US cities.
