Natalia Alaverdian has had her A.W.A.K.E. Mode fall-winter 2020 fashion show at London Fashion Week.
“A little bit of aerobics, but with a Soviet spin, sci-fi… touches of Eighties, Seventies and Sixties that at the end all blend in,” WWD reported quoting her.
The designer was also inspired by Ridley Scott's paintings and Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey.
The new collection includes asymmetrical tops and lama skirts, a red quilted robe coat, sequin-embroidered turtlenecks turning into balaclava, and a blue sports jacket - similar to the 1980s worn by Natalia Alaverdian’s father.
