Rock band Bon Jovi paid tribute to George Floyd and anti-racist protests in the US on 'American Reckoning' single, USA Today reported.
Mass protests and riots have been held in many US states after the death of African-American George Floyd. Three police officers handcuffed Floyd, threw him to the ground and apprehended him, and one of them pressed his knee on the man's neck. All four police officers involved in the detention have been fired and charged.
“I was moved to write 'American Reckoning' as a witness to history,” said Jon Bon Jovi via bonjovi.com. “I believe the greatest gift of an artist is the ability to use their voice to speak to issues that move us.”
