Producer Eric Esrailian made a new Instagram post, where he speaks about the devastating earthquake in Spitak happened in 1988.
“Every day marks the memory of a tragedy around the world. As an Armenian-American, this day is a solemn one for two reasons. As Americans, we honor those who died on Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day ... on the date which will live in infamy. Armenians around the world also pay our respects to the lives lost in the devastating Spitak earthquake of 1988. As a child, I felt powerless, but I was inspired by seeing people from all backgrounds rallying to help Armenians. Despite tragedy after tragedy, Armenians keep getting back up. We will do it again, and I do not feel powerless any longer”, writes Esrailian.
