Netflix intends to screen the cult book, entitled “All Quiet on the Western Front,” by Erich Maria Remarque, Variety writes.
It will be directed by Edward Berger. Former Washington Post journalist Ian Stokell and producer and actor Lesley Paterson penned the script, which is based on the author's 1929 novel about World War I.
It is mentioned that the film will be starring Daniel Bruhl.
The source of the periodical emphasized that the movie will become one of the most expensive projects ever shot in Germany.
