Meghan Markle's father Thomas Markle has issued an ultimatum to his daughter after the release of her scandalous interview with TV host Oprah Winfrey, The Guardian reported.

Thomas said he will continue to communicate with the press and give comments until Megan gets in touch with him.

Speaking on the TV program Good Morning Britain, the father of the Duchess of Sussex admitted that he lied to his daughter in 2018 as he said he did not cooperate with the media. According to him, the last time he spoke with Meghan was before her wedding to Prince Harry, which took place in May of the same year.

Thomas was supposed to lead Megan to the altar but missed the celebration due to health issues. Later, relatives quarreled, finding out if he had been in contact with the press. It turned out that the Duchess's father did provide the media with classified information and photos before the wedding.

He also apologized for the fact that, through his fault, their personal correspondence with Megan was leaked to the network. Later, the Duchess of Sussex sued the British newspaper The Mail on Sunday and its parent company Associated Newspapers for publishing excerpts of the letter taken out of context. In February, Meghan won the case.
