The creator and star of the Borat movie, British actor and director Sacha Baron Cohen got angry at the medical marijuana company and sued it, TMZ reported.
The artist has filed a lawsuit against Solar Therapeutics. According to him, the organization misuses his famous image to sell cannabis in the US state of Massachusetts.
Cohen said Solar Therapeutics is pursuing commercial success by using the image of Borat Sagdiev on one of its billboards next to the interstate. The filmmaker noted that he has nothing to do with the company and does not even use marijuana.
The artist is seeking damages for at least $ 9 million, and also wants the court to ban Solar Therapeutics from using his name, characters, and appearance to sell products.
