The father of the American singer Britney Spears, who agreed to refuse custody of his daughter, demands to pay him about $ 2 million in compensation.
According to the singer's lawyer Mathew Rosengart, 68-year-old Jamie Spears is extorting $ 2 million from his daughter in exchange for her freedom from his custody. According to Page Six, he intends to use the money to pay legal costs (it will take about $ 1.36 million) and to pay off the Tri Star Sports & Entertainment Group, which collaborated with the singer in business management.
Britney Spears will not be bullied or extorted by her father, Rosengart said. He noted that Jamie Spears has no right to hold his daughter hostage while putting forward conditions for refusing custody.
Jamie has been controlling the career and personal life of the 39-year-old singer since 2008 - after the court ruled to appoint him the star's guardian after a series of scandalous incidents related to the mental health of the singer, who was experiencing a nervous breakdown.
