12 Years a Slave and X-Men star Michael Fassbender was involved in an accident during the 24 Hours of Le Mans last week, Porsche Motorsport confirmed on Twitter.

Later it became known that the actor was not injured, but the car was damaged.

Fassbender, driving a Porsche 911, collided with Vincent Abril's Ferrari 488 at the eighth hour of the race. Abril was recognized as the culprit of the accident. Both riders subsequently returned to the track.

Actor Michael Fassbender made his Le Mans debut this year after four years of training.
