Actor Regé-Jean Page may reappear in the third season of "Bridgertons", The Sun reported.

Previously, the main star of the series personally turned down the role of Simon Bassett, the Duke of Hastings, for a second season, despite a pay raise. At the time, there were rumors that the actor was to play Agent James Bond.

According to the publication's sources, Page may return to screens in season three, which will focus on the personal life of writer Penelope Featherington, also known by her creative pseudonym Lady Whistledown.

“Rege-Jean was always very open about his intention to quit the show after the first season and to move on to other projects,’ a source told the publication.

‘But recently there has been a dialogue between him and the show’s bosses. Nothing has been formally agreed yet, but watch this space,” the insider added to The Sun.
