Head of DC Studios James Gunn began working on the script of the new Superman movie, Variety writes.

Henry Cavill will not be playing the role of Superman. The head of DC earlier explained his decision by the fact that the new film will focus on the early years of the superhero and the history of his formation.

The studio head also noted that he has met with Cavill to discuss future collaborations. According to sources close to DC, Gunn and studio co-CEO Peter Safran plan to find a new role for the actor in the comic book universe.
