Toronto-based Syndicado acquired world rights for the documentary “Landshaft” by the renowned director Daniel Kötter, says Variety.
Shot in a road movie format as the director travels through Eastern Armenia in an old Zhiguli (Lada), the film offers a stark contrast between the tranquil mountains of the region and the voice of his passengers - residents living in the shadow of a threat of war.
The film competes in the Burning Lights competition on the sidebar of the Swiss International Documentary Film Festival Visions du Réel. In Germany, the film will be distributed by the independent company Arsenal Filmverleih.
