Swiss luxury watchmaker Breguet has unveiled two new models in honor of the Lunar New Year and the Year of the Dragon: the Classique Double Tourbillon Dragon 5345 Special Edition, and the Classique Dragon 7145 Limited Edition.

The Classique Double Tourbillon Dragon 5345 embodies the combination of technical excellence and artistic excellence.

Based on Abraham-Louis Breguet's invention of the tourbillon in 1801, this watch features two independent tourbillons, each rotating once per minute. These movements are part of the complex Caliber 588N1 movement, which consists of 749 components and provides a power reserve of 60 hours.

The highlight of this watch is the intricate design of a dragon, hand-engraved in gold, clutching a mother-of-pearl pearl, symbolizing strength and wisdom.

As for the Classique Dragon 7145, it is a testament to Breguet's mastery of Grand Feu enameling, a rare and complex technique.

The series is limited to just eight pieces and features a crimson red dial produced by repeated firing in a high-temperature kiln. The dial features a rose gold dragon appliqué that guards a natural pearl.

Inside the 40mm rose gold case is a self-winding caliber 502.3 movement that is just 2.40mm thick and provides a 45-hour power reserve. The mechanism is equipped with silicon components that increase resistance to magnetic fields and accuracy.

Both models are now available by appointment only on Breguet's official website, with the 7145 priced at $83,087 and the 5345 priced at $819,263.
