In new Spring/Summer 2024 campaign DSquared2 asks ‘What if porn stars were actors?’

16:17, February 1

The question “What happens when you ask porn stars to play a role?” became the starting point for the new DSquared2 Spring/Summer 2024 campaign, shot by renowned photographer Nadia Lee Cohen.

Taking inspiration from the booming porn industry of the 1990s, Cohen's new campaign shows influence from the hedonistic hills of Hollywood.

“Authenticity was key,” she notes in a press release. “We deliberately gave the actors their roles only in the morning on the day of filming - the same way it happened on adult filming in the 90s. This, of course, led to a clumsy, deadpan delivery and numerous errors, which in my opinion made the whole thing even more charming."

The result was a series of tongue-in-cheek films, each written by co-creator David Owen—also, the creator of IDEA Books.  The ad campaign featuring Natasha Voinovich and model Tony Ward—Madonna's former partner—was developed by Hayley Wollens.
