Cher, Lenny Kravitz, Sinead O'Connor, Mary J. Blige, Ozzy Osbourne, and Mariah Carey are among the nominees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  The official list of applicants will be announced in late April.

Surprisingly, Cher, Kravitz, Carrey, and Osbourne were nominated for the first time.  To be eligible for nomination to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, an individual artist or group must have released their first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination.

“This remarkable list of nominees reflects the diversity of artists and music that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame honors and celebrates,” said Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation Chairman John Sykes. The official induction ceremony for the 2024 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class will take place this fall in Cleveland.
