Ultra-luxury hotel group Aman plans to build the most expensive hotel in the UAE. The luxury boutique resort, set to open in the next three years, is located on the beachfront in Jumeirah 2.
“This will probably be the most expensive hotel in the UAE,” Aman Resorts chief executive Vladislav Doronin told The National. “We are committed to investing in very high quality products that are worth the money. This is a unique product, this is a luxury hotel where rooms will have ocean and city views, private pools and beautiful gardens, and this justifies the high prices.”
While room rates at Aman Dubai have not yet been revealed, travelers could easily spend thousands of dollars per night if the resort follows in the footsteps of its sister hotel Aman New York. When the hotel opened in 2022, rooms cost $3,200 per night, earning it the title of the most expensive hotel in Manhattan.
Aman Dubai will combine the luxury hotel group's minimalist aesthetic with Arabian hospitality, and the resort aims to take the emirate to new levels of luxury.
The heart of the project will be a garden and park area with an area of 3.6 hectares. It is based on the extensive botanical gardens that Aman created at the Aman Resort in Beverly Hills in Los Angeles.
“We have almost doubled what we have in Beverly Hills by building 3.6 hectares of gardens right on the waterfront. And we are creating a unique ecosystem,” Doronin said.
Travelers arriving at Aman Dubai will also be able to enjoy a 350-meter private beach and the country's first Aman Spa, spanning 2,300 square meters.
Club Aman is an exclusive members-only space. A similar club at the recently opened Aman New York sells memberships for more than $200,000. There is already demand for the service in Dubai, says Doronin.
“We already have a lot of people on our list who want to become our members, global members or Dubai members. Membership will be limited and members will be able to enjoy the villas, spa, restaurants, meeting facilities, cinema and one of the best beaches in Dubai.”
A limited number of Aman-branded residences will also open at the same location—some for rent, others for sale.
The resort, designed by Kerry Hill Architects, the same firm behind the trio of Amana hotels in Japan, will have unobstructed panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf or the Dubai skyline and Burj Khalifa.
