Jessica Biel is gearing up for the upcoming release of her book, A Children's Book About Periods, hitting shelves this spring. The 42-year-old actress answered several questions from fans on social media—and including on how she talks to her sons about periods.

Biel responded to the question in a selfie video, noting that she was "still trying to figure it out" about it. “Well, I don’t have all the answers, but I just tell them the truth about what’s happening to me and how I feel,” she said. “I try to do it in a way that gives them truthful, real, biological, anatomically correct information. But in a way that is not too overwhelming for them,” she continued.

"I'm not hiding it from them, I'm telling it like it is, the real definitions of these terms and phrases in and around reproductive health that can be intimidating," concluded the actress, who shares two sons, ages 8 and 3, with Justin Timberlake.
