A business card autographed by Steve Jobs was sold at an auction for $181,183. The lot, organized by RR Auction, was called “Steve Jobs and the Apple Computer Revolution.” It featured items from his early days at Apple.
Most of the items did not belong to Jobs himself, but rather were artifacts from the Apple office. A 1983 business card was the top selling item, followed by a check signed by Jobs in 1976, which went for US$176,850. The check was signed before Apple officially launched as a company, so the founder hand-wrote "Apple Computer" at the top of the check.
“The sale of an Apple business card signed by Steve Jobs for over $180,000 sets a new standard for autographed business cards. It is a testament to Jobs’ enduring legacy and Apple’s profound influence on our modern world,” said RR Auction Executive Vice President Bobby Livingston.
